Getting Started

This section introduces the edgeContinuum platform and the path you follow to go from an empty account to running workloads. If you are new here, start with the concepts below and follow the links into the detailed guides.

How the platform is organized

edgeContinuum groups everything into a few core building blocks:

• Organizations and Projects — the tenancy model that isolates teams and workloads.
• Users, Groups and Permissions — identity and access control across your organization.
• Infrastructure — the cloud platforms you register so edgeContinuum can deploy onto them.
• Resource Quotas — the limits that cap resource usage per project.

The typical path

1. Set up your organization — create projects and invite users, then assign permissions with groups and roles.
2. Connect your infrastructure — register a cloud platform (for example, OpenStack) so edgeContinuum can provision resources on it.
3. Deploy managed services — launch virtual machines, Kubernetes clusters, PostgreSQL databases and applications.
4. Wire up networking — connect resources with networks, routers and firewall rulesets.

Each guide is self-contained, so you can also jump straight to the service or resource you need.
